Whole30 – Day 2

Today is the second day of whole30.

Breakfast – watermelon and four scrambled eggs.
Lunch – spinach salad with mushrooms, three types of tomatoes, and shredded chicken with EVOO and Mrs. Dash original seasoning.
Dinner – Shredded beef, green beans, yellow squash, and zucchini.
Dessert – Banana ice cream.  http://www.todaysletters.com/2012/04/whole30-cinnamon-nutmeg-banana-ice.html      My little blender was not working well so I had to add some more almond milk.  Made the consistency a bit more runny, but still tasted really good. It was like ice cream that was melting but still had some body to it.

After lunch I started feeling sick. I was very cold and had a headache. That lasted about two hours before I began feeling better. My accomplishments for today were that I took my measurements, took my “before” pictures, made a countdown chart with Post-it notes, and collected a few more recipes. I need to go to some stores in town to see if any of them carry sausage and bacon that is allowed while on whole30.

Whole30 – Day 1

Today was my first day of Whole30.
It was a pretty difficult day. I didn’t sleep well last night and have had a headache for most of the day.
Breakfast – watermelon, yellow squash, and zucchini.
Lunch – one cucumber with olive oil.
Dinner – chicken breast with Mrs. Dash seasoning, two scrambled eggs, green beans with Mrs. Dash seasoning, and steamed carrots with a touch of olive oil.
Snack 1 – grapes with coconut milk and cinnamon.
Snack 2 – grapes and cherries with almond milk, coconut milk, and chia seeds.  (tasted horrible)

No exercise.

First Post

Tomorrow is when I start my first Whole30 and I’m pretty excited.  I have read quite a few posts people have made about their experiences going through their Whole30 and I am really looking forward to seeing what effect(s) it’ll have on me.  I am a bit worried that I’m not well enough prepared, but I feel I’ve done what I can with the time I’ve had and managing to keep up with daily life.

Last update for the night:
I went to the gym today for Zumba for the first time in about two weeks.  It was great to be back there and I was surprised that I didn’t have any trouble with the cardio since I haven’t been there in a while.
